Session 4 - Football
In this session 4 of football we worked on goalkeeping, we started off by running around the court in a steady jog after the warm up we all came into this designated place about one third of the courts size and would jog around the either dive to the left or dive to the right after Nichola shouts out the commands. After this we got into pairs and got a ball between us and made a little goal and one of the pair would be moving form side to side of the goal in and out of the cones and the other player would throw him the ball and he would have to catch it and roll it back. The movement of the goalkeeper was a figure of 8 and went he would get back to where he started the other player would throw him the ball to catch using eye and co-ordination. After this the session finished as we had no time for a game at the end or any other exercises.
Session 3 - Football
in this third session we started with a well worked warm up were was running around all directions and around the court sprinting and side stepping throught the warm up. Sarah took the practical session. First of all we needed to get into groups of threes and a ball between us, one of us three would throw the ball up into the air the player in the middle would control it by either head, chest, thigh or foot and pass it onto the third person and we kept on switching places. after this we got into groups of four and made a little goal, one person went into net, one person threw the ball into play and the other two people was either an attacker or a defender, the defender was suppost to try and tackle the attcker and stop him from scoring and the attckers aim was to score a goal. after this we moved onto a game sarah told us to split up into partners and name our selves 1 or 2. ones was a team and the twos were a team and the game was set out as there was lots of little goals all around the pitch and the aim was to score as many goals as possible and this was a very enjoyable end to the practical with the twos winning 10-8 against the ones.

Session 1 Tennis
first of all nichola took us for this first tennis session we firstly had a jog around 1 side of the court not in straight lines or in circles and side steps after a shot burst of speed. after the warm up we each took a racket and a tennis ball and practicekeepin the ball up usuing both backhand and forearm. after we practice we had to keep the ball in the air for 30 seconds everyone completed that task. after this we all went into partners and practice shot rallies to each other over the net. after the short rallies we went into long rallies to each other hittin the ball to each other over the net quite a distance. after this we went onto a doubles match nichola told us the rules and we understood them well and she demonstrated how to serve in the game and what is out and what is in. we each had a doubles partner and played another pair using 15 love, 30 love, 45 love then match point if both teams had 45 love it would be deuce than advantage then game. so we played the game and we found out it was pretty hard to hit it hard get it over the net and into the designated area so we did not do many smashes at all. but overall i believe we all learnt alot from todays tennis session.
Session 1 Football
in this session we did football and Shaun Macaulay from Sheffield Wednesday took the training session we focused mostly on the cruyff turn after a enjoyable warm up which lasted approximately 10-15 Min's in the warm up we ran around but not in a straight line or in a circle this was really tiring but it was fun an exciting at the same time. Then we moved onto moving with a ball and trapping the ball when Shaun shouted stop, then this progressed onto doing a trick when Shaun shouted cruyff turn we ran and did a cruyff turn and accelerated out. I believe i was pretty confident and did OK with the cruyff turn as i had already done this turn before in my career the cruyff turn is a turn on the ball which you turn dragging the side of your foot 180 degrees an attempet to fool the opposistion. The cruyff turn is a simple turn but can be a huge advantage against the opposing player if u believe u can take the player on with this trick. I believe some of the players could do this turn more easily than others. The players not so good with the turn before the practice improved significantly and also the players who was pretty good at the trick improved a bit aswell. After the ball dribbling and tricks we moved onto a game with the not so good players having as many touches with the ball as they want and the good players having only 2 touches of the ball at a time, to score a goal there was to cones to make a little goal all over the pitch so this game brought awareness and fast feet at the same time. i really enjoyed this game at the end because you had to think fast and Shaun encouraged everyone to use cruyff turn in the game to fool the opposing sides players.
